Gavin Bryant Thornhill, 44, of Linden, died Nov. 6 at his home.

He was born March 14, 1969, in Selma. He was a timber manager and a member of the Linden Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Miller Thornhill of Linden; son, the Rev. Charleston Wilson of Nashotah, Wisc.; brothers, Eddie (Anita) Thornhill of Tuscaloosa and Glen Thornhill of Demopolis; sisters, Ginny Long of Demopolis, Lynda (Jeff) Tucker of Forkland and Diana (Brooks) Thomas of Montgomery; two grandchildren, Robert Agustus “Gus” Wilson and Mary Camille Wilson of Nashotah, Wisc.; seven nieces and three nephews.

Graveside funeral services were held at Linden Memorial Park on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 2 p.m. with Billy Boggs, the Rev. Charleston Wilson and the Rev. George McKee officiating.

Active pallbearers were Keith Thornhill, Christian Cook, Wynn Thornhill, Josh Thornhill, J.C. Etheridge, Dan Gunter, Randy Parker, Ted Dunn Jr. and David Bonnett.
