Winston Eugene Etheridge, 83, of Dixons Mills, died Nov. 8 in Linden.
He was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Coxheath. He was a retired boiler operator at Gulf States Paper Company, and he was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth B. Etheridge; and son, Winston E. Etheridge.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam (Larry) Etheridge of Linden; sons, Calvin L. (Karen V.) Etheridge of Dixons Mills and Lelon (Karen Sue) Etheridge of Dixons Mills; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at Shiloh Baptist Church on Monday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Fields and the Rev. Ralph Smith officiating. Burial was at Shiloh Cemetery in Dixons Mills.
Active pallbearers were Kevin Etheridge, Wesley Etheridge, Bubba Jowers, Larry Weatherly, Mikey Smith and Shane Harvell.
Honorary pallbearers were Troy Strickland, Bly Tucker, Billy Tucker and Buddy Stephens.
