Carmie Carol Copeland Squires, 68, of Demopolis, died Sunday, Nov. 17.

She was born April 15, 1945, in Marengo County to Royals and Leona Copeland.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Royals and Leona Copeland; and husband, Billy “Squeek” Squires.

She is survived by her daughter, Lindsay S. Raby of Opelika; mother-in-law, Marie Squires of Demopolis; sisters, Beth (Bill) Baker of Demopolis and Gloria Nettles of Demopolis; and grandchildren, Tyler Duncan, Emilie Duncan and Connor Raby.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 23 at 11 a.m. at Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel with pastor David Bradshaw and the Rev. David Willis officiating and Kirk Funeral Homes Demopolis Chapel directing. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home. There will be a private burial.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the charity of one’s choice.
