Demopolis High School’s soccer team earned a big win on the road Wednesday with a 10-0 rout of Paul W. Bryant High School.

Five Tigers were able to net goals in the game. Cristian Velez and Austin Brooks both scored three goals each for hat tricks and Adam Brooker scored twice for Demopolis in the game. Ashley Dunn and Gavin Webb each had a goal as well.

The Tigers had 23 shots on goal in the game, which has been a strong point of emphasis for head coach Brad Daniels.

Zachary Chu led the team in assists with three, and Austin Beckum and Tommy Cristwell combined for 11 saves in goal.

Daniels said all of his players got to play in the game.

“Every player on the bench got minutes and played well together,” he said. “We really had an outstanding performance against a much-improved Bryant squad. I was pleased with the way the team came off the bench and played hard.”

Daniels added that his team is looking forward to another match Friday night.

“We’re looking forward to another tough battle against a good Sipsey Valley team Friday evening in Tiger Stadium,” he said.

Friday night’s game will begin at 6:30 p.m., and Daniels said he hopes to see another good crowd for the game. The Tigers will head to Mobile on Saturday to face Murphy and Saraland in a double-header.
