Frances Bolen Crocker

Frances Bolen Crocker, 101, of Thomaston died Sept. 26, 2015 at her home.
Frances was born July 8, 1914 in Magnolia, Alabama. She was a school teacher for 47 years and was a member of Thomaston Baptist Church.
She is survived by two nieces, Sherer B. Averette and Joyce B. Colburn; three nephews, Paul (Mary) Hester, Thomas (Mary) Bolen Jr., and George (Debbie) Bolen, Jr.; three great-nieces, Teresa C. Pope, Annesia C. Miller, and Cathy Nelson; two great-nephews, Jonathan Averette and Rev. Edward Bolen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Buwic Crocker; her parents, Thomas Edward and Lillie England Bolen; two brothers, Thomas Wade Bolen Sr. and George Edward Bolen; and her sister, Sophia Nell Bolen.
Funeral services were held at Thomaston Baptist Church on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at 2 p.m. with Rev. Brooks Barkley officiating. Burial was in the Thomaston Cemetery.
Active Pallbearers were: Thomas I. Pope, IV, Jason G. Miller, Tristan J. Miller, Thomas Miller, Jonathan T. Averette, James Crocker Etheredge.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Staff of Comfort Care Hospice, special friends, Mrs. Shelby Drake and Mrs. Clarice Etheredge.
