Two churches will salute Rev. Jessie Bell

Dear Christian friends, spring revival services will be held at 7 p.m. nightly through April 18 at the Eastern Star Baptist Church in Demopolis.
Guest speaker will be the Rev. J.C. Wilks of Mt. Bethel Baptist Church of Gulf Port, Mississippi.
Rev. Carlton L. Hogue is the pastor at Eastern Star. Sis. Clara Purse is the church clerk.
The Old Green Oak Church in Forkland will celebrate the fifth anniversary of pastor and his wife, Rev. and Mrs. James Reed, at 3 p.m. on April 21. Rev. Quinten Hammon, pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church in Birmingham, and his congregation will be guests.
The members of the Nazareth and Mt. Zion Baptist Churches invite you to worship with them in the first appreciation for the pastor, Rev. Jessie Bell, April 27 and 28.
The guest minister will be Rev. F.O. Bell, pastor of Bethel and Pine Top Baptist Church in Coatopa.
The programs will be held at 6 p.m. on April 28 at Mt. Zion and 2 p.m. on April 28 at the Nazareth of Galilee church.
Sisterhood Day events will be held May 4 and 5 at Morning Star Baptist Church.
There will be a women’s health luncheon on May 4.
The highlight services will be held at 3 p.m. on May 5. Special guest will be Rev. Henry C. Thompson, pastor of the Friendship Baptist Church in Demopolis.
The Women of Praise Community Choir will also perform. All women are asked to wear white.
Rev. James L. Dunn is the pastor at Morning Star Baptist Church, and Sis. Deborah R. Mitchell is the program chairlady.
Happy Birthday goes out to Sis. Florida Kennard and Sis. Dorothy Russell. Birthday ribbons were presented to them Sunday during morning services at Eastern Star Baptist Church by Rev. Carlton L. Hogue.
