Teenager killed in accident on April 20

A teenager was killed Saturday in a one-car accident on Rembert Hill Road south of Linden.
Jeremy Wayne Lewis, 19, of Linden, was killed in the accident that occurred at 5:35 p.m. on the road which is located off of Highway 69.
Sources indicate the vehicle ran off the road and overturned.
Services were held for Lewis Tuesday at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Linden with Rev. Jimmy R. O’Bryant officiating.
Burial was held in Linden Memorial Park.
Lewis was a tire repairman for West Alabama Tire Company.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelyn Lewis.
He is survived by his father, Thomas Wayne Lewis, and his mother, Wendy Lewis, both of Linden; two sisters, Kelly Elizabeth Lewis and Dedre Ann Lewis, both of Linden; two grandfathers, Watson Etheridge and Joseph Lewis, both of Linden; two grandmothers, Hazel Etheridge and Shirley Lewis, both of Linden; a great-grandmother, Bonnie Lassiter of Linden; and unciles, aunts and cousins from Thomasville.
Pallbearers were Joe Lewis, Kenny Lewis, Chris Etheridge, Patrick Etheridge, Durwood Smith and Phillip Poellnitz.
Honorary pallbearers were Robby Smith, Norman Averette, P.J. Poellnitz, Mike Lewis, Eddie Lweis, Phillip Samples, Shawn Wilkerson, Ryan Tillman, Mackey McNider and Brett Etheridge.
