John Lee Hill, 83, of Retsil, Wash., died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at a VA hospital.

Graveside services were held Thursday, May 15, 2003, at Octagon Cemetery with Dr. Allen Atkins officiating and Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors directing.

Survivors include a sister, Lavada Wigington of Hamilton; brother James (Ira) Hill of Linden; aunt Florence Hill of Octagon, two nieces and two nephews.

San Antonio, Texas

Virginia S. Etheridge, 86, of San Antonio, died Tuesday, May 13, 2003, at a nursing home.

Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at 11 a.m. at Sweet Water Cemetery with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors directing. Visitation is scheduled from 8-9:30 a.m. at the Kidd-Robbins chapel.

Etheridge was preceded in death by her husband, George Etheridge, and a grandson, Johnny Blakeney.

Survivors include a daughter, Sandra E. Wilson of San Antonio; son Lonnie Etheridge of Raleigh, N.C.; grandchildren Jody Wilson of College Station, Texas, Allen Etheridge of New Orleans; Alton Etheridge of Seattle; and Randy Blakeney of Tuscaloosa.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Thomaston United Methodist Church in Thomaston.
