John Wayne Bell, 22, of Demopolis, died Tuesday, September 16, 2003 at his residence.

Graveside services were held Thursday, September 18 at Demopolis Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Smith and Dr. Allen Atkins officiating and under the Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors.

Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lindell Norris of Demopolis, and Mr. and Mrs. John F. Bell Jr. of Demopolis; great-grandmother, Mrs. Leota Bell; and an uncle, Tracy Lane,

He is survived by his fiance, Amanda Prescott of Demopolis; three uncles, David (Leigh Ann) Norris, mike (Susie) Bell and Don (Kathy) Bell his mother, Gwen R. Bell of Demopolis; his father, John G. (Nancy) Bell III of Demopolis; a sister, Lori B. (Ric) Colyar of Demopolis; two nieces, Camerone Thomason and Laura Peyton Thomason, both of Demopolis; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl norris of Carbon Hill, Ala.; cousins, Susanne B. Smith, Rodney Bell, Katie Bell and Brittney Norris.

Pallbearers were Freddie Webb, Ric Colyar, Bo Lindsay, Rodney Bell, Walton Prescott and Scott Yerkes.

Flowers or donations may be sent in his honor to Fairhaven Baptist Church, Cardinal Street, Demopolis, Ala. 36732.

Alvin D. "Buddy" Simpson

Forkland

Alvin D. "Buddy" Simpson, of Forkland, died Friday, September 12, 2003, at his residence.

A military funeral was held at Memorial Chapel in Tuscaloosa.

He served 21 years in the U.S. Navy and worked 20 yars with Woodmen of the World Life Insurance.

The pallbearers were representatives from Woodmen of the World.

Burke Dumas Lewis

Thomasville

Burke Dumas Lewis, 69, of Thomasville, died Thursday, September 18, 2003, at his residence.

Services were held Saturday, September 20, 2003, at the O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home in Thomasville with rev. Hal Taylor and Dr. Gary Enfinger officiating.

Burial was held in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery under the direction of O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home.

He was born October 8, 1933 in Sweet Water. Mr. Lewis was the owner of Lewis Pest Control for 40 years. He was a veteran and a member and deacon of Mount Vernon Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Erin H. Lewis of Thomasville; three sons, Scott Lewis and Neil Lewis of Thomasville, and Alan Lewis of Demopolis; a daughter, Suzette Lewis Davie of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; a brother, William Lewis of Centreville; and seven grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Lawrence "Rock" Blair, Clark Blair, Everette Lewis, Stan Lewis, Jeff Lewis, Bill Lewis, George Lewis and Adam Lewis.

Honorary pallbearers were Joe Clayton, Wallace Kirkham, Wayne Lewis and Charles Wilson.

Travis Glenn Fell

Gallion

Travis Glenn Fell, 34, of Gallion, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003, in an accident on County Road 61.

Services were held Friday, September 19, 2003, at the Kidd-Robbins Chapel with Rev. Doug Null officiating.

Burial was held in Demopolis Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors.

He is survived by his parents, Billy and Katie Fell of Gallion; three sisters, Angie Harper of Val-Pariso, Indiana, Vickie (David) Mayton of Gallion and Belinda (Ricky) Nelson of Demopolis; a grandfather, Robert L. Boykin of Butler; a grandmother, Sadie Fell of Mobile; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were John Davidson, Vernon Manning, Steven Prisoc, Jeffery Bucklew, Danny Gates and Connie Lee Boykin.
