Thanks to the winning ways of the Demopolis High School Tigers the last few years, the city of Demopolis has finally come alive with "Tiger Spirit." Especially now, that the Tigers are coming off of their biggest win in school history over UMS-Wright last Friday night.
The city has once again become alive with "Tiger Mania," everywhere you look this week, there is a car with a Demopolis Tiger car flag or either a business has put up a flag or painted something on their windows showing their support for the Tigers.
There are lots of people in Demopolis that will gladly show everyone around them, that they support the Demopolis Tiger football team.
Even though James has only been to one game this season, that doesn’t mean her radio has been tuned in. "I think that the Tigers will have a very good chance against Trinity this week, we match up better with them," James said.
They sold about five-and-one half rolls of tickets at the last playoff game, not including the 800 tickets sold earlier in the week at Demopolis High School. "I just love when we sell lots of tickets, there is nothing like seeing 5,000 people supporting the Tigers," Carr said.
McCullough has been to eight games this year and the few he missed, he listened to them on the radio. "I think it is about time for our turn to win a state title, go Tigers," McCullough said.
