A Greene County woman was killed Saturday night in an automobile accident seven miles south of Eutaw on County Road 131 off Highway 11.

Karla Simmons, 21, of Tuscaloosa, was killed. Her husband and two-and-one half-year-old son survived. All three were ejected from the vehicle, according to information from the Alabama Department of

The accident occurred Saturday at approximately 10 p.m. Alabama State Troopers from the Tuscaloosa office are investigating the incident.

It is reported that an autopsy is being performed on Simmons body.

Johnny L. Isaac, Greene County Sheriff, said the accident brought out the need for a county E-911 system. The person who called in the report of the accident hung up before more information could be obtained, he said Monday. First responders had a hard time finding the accident site.
