‘Players of the Week’ selected for DHS teams

Demopolis High School player Charles Taylor was selected this week as the DHS varsity boys Player of the Week. Taylor averaged eight points, five rebounds per game this week. During his outstanding week, the Tigers played beat Greensboro in three overtimes and lost to Choctaw County.
Demopolis High School junior Gabriell Essex was selected this week as the DHS varsity girls Player of the Week. Essex averaged 18 points, 11 rebounds and five assist per game this week. Not to mention, she shot 69 percent form the line and led the Lady tigers in scoring in two of their three games this week with 27 points against Choctaw County and 16 points against Thomasville. The team is currently (6-2).
Demopolis High School sophomore MacArthur Johnson was selected this week as the DHS junior varsity boys Player of the Week. Johnson averaged 10 points, and four assist per game this week. Johnson played in three games during his stellar week against Choctaw County, Sumter County, and Thomasville.
