The West Alabama Prep Titans varsity boys’ basketball team is looking good this week coming off two impressive wins against both Jackson Academy and Marion Academy.

The Titans crushed the Tigers of Marion Academy 54-42 last Thursday night in a game that saw senior Kevin May rack up 18 points and six rebounds.

The Titans then snuck past the Eagles of Jackson Academy Monday night 46-41 in Jackson. Joe Magro led the way for the Titans collecting 22 points on the night.

The Titans junior varsity boys’ team also had a good week and managed to beat Marion Academy 43-17. Ryan Bohannon led the scoring for WAP with 25 points on the night

But trouble still exist for the WAP varsity girls who continue to be winless this season. The Lady Titans drop both games this week as they fall to the Lady Tigers of Marion Academy 23-36. And then suffered another bruising form Jackson Academy on Monday night 36-17.

Samantha Sullivan lead the way for the Lady Titans against Marion Academy with 14 points and 14 rebounds on the night. And against the Lady Eagles it was Elaina Jennings and Lauren Baker leading the way, each with 6 points on the night.

The Titans will battle Central Christian this Friday in Demopolis.
