Lady Bobcats Crush Lady Bears

Uniontown – The R.C. Hatch Lady Bobcats displayed their talent and explosive offense to blow out the Keith Lady Bears 77-33. The win advances them to the area tournament finals against Billingsley on Friday in Uniontown.
“We were able to play all 15 of our players,” said Lady Bobcat coach Walter Abraham after the game. “Everyone got some good minutes tonight.”
Four Lady Bobcats scored in double figures.
There was no scoring in the first two minutes of the contest. The Lady Bears scored the first basket of the game, but after the game was knotted at 4 apiece, the Lady Bobcats went on a 9-0 run and coasted to an 18-9 advantage after one quarter.
The Lady Bobcats scored 25 second-quarter points while holding the Lady Bears to 6 to put the game away early. Coach Abraham, already playing 10 girls, decided to empty the rest of his bench with 2:49 left in the third quarter and his team up 60-18.
The Lady Bears could only score 3 points the entire third quarter. The Lady Bears were able to put up 14 points in the final quarter with the Lady Bobcats third-string players on the court, but the game had long been over at that point.
The Lady Bobcats were led by Latoria Paige’s 15 points. Jamacia Cheese scored 12 off the bench. Ahjah Mitchell added 11 points and 9 steals. Sierra Miller chipped in 10 points. For the Lady Bears V. Jones dropped in 14 points and S. Gooden scored 7.
