UWA men beat the Railsplitters

LIVINGSTON, AL- Issac Greenwood scored a game-high 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting and pulled down three rebounds, as West Alabama defeated Lincoln Memorial (6-18, 1-10) 75-62 on Monday in Pruitt Hall.

The Tigers jumped out to a 31-26 lead at the half as both teams struggled shooting from the floor. West Alabama made 14-of-27 shots (51.9 percent) in the second half, including 4-of-7 from behind the three-point line, as the Tigers avenged an overtime loss earlier in the season at Lincoln Memorial.

Jared Hembree scored 14 points, including four three-pointers for the Tigers. Adam Ruffin had 12 points, five rebounds and two steals for UWA, while teammate Nic Gragg added 11 points. Cliff Mathis pulled down a team-high seven rebounds to go along with eight points.

Brad Seal lead the Railsplitters with 14 points and seven rebounds. Adrian Porter scored 12 points while also grabbing five rebounds. Aaron Squirewell and Paul Noble chipped in with 10 points each for Lincoln Memorial.

The Tigers (5-19, 2-9) return to play on Saturday when Valdosta State pays a visit to Pruitt Hall for a 7:30 p.m. tip off.
