The Trackside BP Station near Greentrack was robbed for the second time in March.

A black male entered the station on Martin Luther King Boulevard March 13 sometime between 5:30 and 5:45 a.m., said Greene County Sheriff Johnny L. Isaac. He pointed a gun at the cashier and got away with approximately $350 in cash.

An unnamed local resident is being investigated as a possible suspect, the sheriff said. He is likely the suspect in another armed robbery at the station on March 4.

In that incident, a lone black male entered the station at 12:30 a.m. He covered his face with part of his shirt. He was armed with a small semi-automatic pistol, Isaac said.

He demanded money from the cashier Wendy Parrish and took approximately $800 from the register. He left on foot running toward the old Wishbone restaurant.

The Greene County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate both armed robberies.
