Shawnese Armstead – (Demopolis High School) The 5’4″ sophomore guard is easily spotted on the court with her No. 00 jersey and her aggressive defensive play.

This season Armstead racked up a total of 237 points and 71 rebounds as a starter, averaging 8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 3.2 steals per game.

Armstead was a leading defensive force for the 26-5 Lady Tigers with her ability to step into an offense’s passing lanes and create steal after steal.

This season she collected a total of 72 steals, while shooting 37 percent from the field and 56 percent from the line.

Janet Woods – (Demopolis High School) The 5’5″ senior guard knows how to find the basket.

This season, with years of experience under her belt, Woods led the Pittman offense at the point throughout most of the season and was key player in the Lady Tigers quest for the 4A state championship. Woods collected 153-total points this season, while shooting 36 percent form the field and 56 percent form the line.

She averaged 5 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game.

Woods collected a total of 65 steals this season (third on the team) along with 60-total rebounds.

Katerria Johnson – (Demopolis High School) The 6’0″ power forward is perhaps one of the tallest and most aggressive forwards in the state of Alabama and she is only a sophomore.

Johnson collected a total of 238 points this season shooting 45 percent from the field and 49 percent from the line.

Johnson led the lady Tigers this season in both assists (42) and blocked shots (47).

With her size and athletic ability to block any opponent’s shot from almost any place on the court, Johnson earned the right to start in every game this season for the Lady Tigers.

And though she spent much of the season in constant pain with a partially torn ACL, Johnson continued to be a leader on both ends of the court averaging 8 points, 6 rebounds 1.4 blocks and 2.1 steals per game. This season Johnson collected a total of 183 rebounds (second on team), 62 steals, (second on team) 42 assists (first on team), 47 blocks (first on team) and 238 points (second on team).

Kelli Johnson – (Demopolis High School) The 6’1″ center/forward is one of the tallest and largest players on the court today. This season Johnson collected a total of 191 points, 123 rebounds and 23 blocks.

Johnson may only be a sophomore, but she is already well under her way to becoming one of the most dominant players in Class 4A.

Though she struggled throughout the beginning of the season, trying to find her game, Johnson came on strong in the second half of the season and was a key factor in the Lady Tigers first trip to Birmingham in school history.

Johnson shot 54 percent from the field and 59 percent from the floor this season.

Sierra Miller – (R. C. Hatch) – The 5’5″ junior guard led the 25-2 lady Bobcats this season with a total of 314 points averaging 12 points per game. Miller was every opponent’s worst nightmare with her ability to sink shots from the free throw line. This season Miller hit an impressive 52-of-66 (79 percent) from the line. She also led the Lady Bobcats in three point shooting as she hit as many as 35 shots from behind the arch.

Miller collected 67-total rebounds this season along with 43-total steals and 26-total assists. The Lady Bobcats finished their season with a 25-2 record in Birmingham with a 66-59 loss to the Pisgah Lady Eagles in the AHSAA Final Four.

Tiffanie Lewis – (R. C. Hatch) The 5’6″ senior point guard glided the 25-2 Lady Bobcats over opponents throughout the regular season with her ability to feed the ball inside and find the open shot.

Lewis collected a total of 96 assists (first on team) this season. She was also a dominant defensive player for Lady Bobcat’s head coach Walter Abrahams, as she collected 81-total steals this season. Lewis also collected 73-total rebounds; eight blocked shots and averaged 3.7 assists per game.

Tina Fields -(Akron High School) The senior point guard led the 18-7 Lady Rams to their first trip to Mobile under second year head coach Patricia Turner averaging 11 points per game (second on team).

Fields carried the Lady Rams with her impressive performance at the free throw line this season shooting 85 percent. Fields averaged 2 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals per game. She was also a major contributor in the Lady Rams Area 7 Championship and Southwest Regional 55-35 victory over Florala. The Lady Rams ended their 2003/2004 season with an 18-7 record, as they fell 37-36 to J. F. Shields in the Southwest Regional championship game.

Audreanio Bryant -(Akron High School) the senior forward led the 18-7 Lady Rams this season in scoring averaging 18 points per game.

Bryant also led the Lady Rams on the defensive side of the ball as she averaged 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal per game. Bryant was a dominant lost post player this season for the Lady Rams and had an outstanding performance at the Southwest regional Tournament, where she was named to the Girls Class 1A All-Tournament Team.

Though the Lady Rams eventually fell to J. F. Shields in the Southwest Regional championship game 37-36, Bryant would led the Lady Rams in total rebounds with 13 and steals (5), while racking up 16-total points.

Felicia Drummond -(Sumter County) The 5’11” forward led the Lady Wildcats this season in scoring as she averaged 21 points per game with a season high 35 points against the R. C. Hatch Lady Bobcats.

Drummond scored a total of 504 points this season, while averaging 14 rebounds per game. She collected a total of 336 rebounds on the season and had a season high 20 rebounds against Francis Marion.

Drummond carried the team with a total of 11 assists, 12 steals, 336 rebounds and 504 points. She shot an impressive 236-of-328 (72 percent) from the floor and 29-of-40 (73 percent) from the line this season.

Drummond led the Lady Wildcats in both rebounding and field goal percentage and was named to the Class 3A Area 6 All-Area team as well as the Southwest Regional Class 3A All-Tournament team. The Lady Wildcats finished their 2003/2004 season with a trip to Mobile where they would go on to beat Indian Springs 50-21, but would fall 33-22 to the T. R. Miller Lady Tigers in the Southwest Regional championship game.

Endya Burton – (Sumter County) the 5’7″ guard had an impressive season as she averaged 13 points, 9 rebounds, 10 assists and 5steals per game.

Burton scored a total of 338 points this season along with a total of 216 rebounds, 240 assists and 120 steals. She hit 124-of220 (56 percent) from the field and 51-of-74 (69 percent) from the line. Burton also led the Lady Wildcats in three-point percentage shooting 13-of-21 (62 percent).

She was named to the Class 3A Area 6 All-Area team as well as the Southwest Regional All-Tournament team.
