LIVINGSTON -The University of West Alabama football team concluded spring practice on Wednesday afternoon with a scrimmage in Tiger Stadium. Head Coach Sam McCorkle was extremely pleased with the strides taken by his team during spring workouts.

On the final day of practice, McCorkle stated that the defense took the lead and was still ahead of the offense. He then went on to state that the defense should be ahead of the offense at this point, because it takes a little longer for the for offense to come together.

“The important thing is where we go from here,” said McCorkle. “How we approach weights and conditioning between now and our return in August will play a huge role in our success in the fall.”
