Two Greene County suspects arrested for Rape

The following suspects were arrested in the past few weeks for sexual crimes against juveniles by the Greene County Sheriff’s Department:
Richard Smith, 23, of Eutaw, was arrested April 20 for rape, first degree. The warrant was issued Jan. 15, 2004. His bond was set at $25,000.
Thaddus Smith, 25, of King Village in Eutaw, was arrested April 20 for sexual abuse, first degree. The victim was under 12-years-old. The warrant was issued on April 14.
He was convicted in 2000 for robbery, second degree, and received a sentence of six years.
Marcus Lamont Parham, 20, of Branch Heights in Eutaw, was arrested April 20 for rape, second degree. The warrant was issued April 14. His bond was set at $20,000.
Alzado Reshodd Vanable, 19, of Eutaw, was arrested April 21 for rape II. The warrant was issued April 14. He was released on $20,000 bond.
All these suspects were indicted March 30 by a Greene County Grand Jury.
The count of rape I involves a juvenile victim under 12-years-old.
The count of rape II involves a juvenile victim less than 16-years-old and more than 12-years-old.
