Greensboro-Some students at Greensboro East High School are starting the summer break off by committing crimes against their teachers’ property. In a span of only two days, May 18-19 there were three separate crimes committed against the teachers’ automobiles of Greensboro East.

The first of these three incidents happened on May 18, Pamela Poole reported to the Greensboro Police Department that some students had damaged her red Ford Expedition. She filed a report with the police and they are charging the damage done to her vehicle as second degree Criminal Mischief.

The Chief of the Greensboro Police Department Claude Hamilton said some of the students were excited about summer finally arriving and decided to key some of the teacher’s cars.

He also said that no arrests have been made in connection to these crimes.

The second incident was reported on May 19; Helen Gant told the police that some students at the school also damaged her 1994 green Toyota Camry.

She filed a report claiming the rear passenger side of her car was damaged, but no amount of damage was given. A second degree Criminal Mischief charge was added to her report as well.

The third and final incident at GEHS also occurred on May 19, when Linda Johnson reported to the police that her 1987 black Buick Regal had also been damaged. She filed a report and a charge of second degree Criminal Mischief was applied to her case as well.

Hamilton said to have three separate incidents of vandalizing a teacher’s car in two days is just inexcusable. He also said there are three counts of Criminal Mishchief that needed to be answered for and that they were doing everything they could to locate the persons responsible.
