Looking back in time, I remember

Feeling so lucky and free;

Because time was pure and simple as

Friends and I sat under the big tree.

We’d laugh and play, and as the sun

Went down;

Never once having to fear for danger

’cause there were none around.

But time has changed, and I’m sad

To admit;

The children of today suffers from

Neglect to getting hit.

If people could remember how good

Time was back in the day;

Then maybe, just maybe we could see and

Hear the laughter of a child’s play.
