Sybil Glass Jowers, of Linden died Monday, June 21, 2004 at Riverchase Health Care Center in Birmingham. Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 10 a.m. at the Linden Memorial Park. The Rev. Don Newton will officiate. Mrs. Jowers is survived by two daughters, Martha (Sandy) Addis of Anderson, S.C. and Kathy (Rick) Kopel of Tampa, Fla.; a son, Kenny (Karen) Jowers, Hoover, Ala; two brothers, Leon Glass of Linden, Ala and James Walter Glass of Thomasville, Ala; two sisters, Betty Gunter of Monroeville, and Sarah Langley of Sweet Water; and three grandchildren, Sherri Kopel Hamburg of Moscow, Idaho,

Kate Robinette, Anderson, S.C., and Kasey Jowers of Birmingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eldred Jowers. Pallbearers were Chip Maldonado, Jimmy Glass, John Glass, Donnie Glass, Mike Gunter, and Pat Vice. Mrs. Jowers was a member of the Forest Hill Baptist Church in Linden. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Forest Hill Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
