DEMOPOLIS – The Rivercity Soccer Club of Demopolis will be sending three soccer teams to the Chevy Governor’s Cup, which is the Alabama state championship tournament normally held in Montgomery, but this year will be held in Birmingham.

The three teams that will be vying for the state championship are Jennings Company, who will be playing in the Under 12 division, Dr. Keen Chiropractic Clinic, who will be playing in the Under 14 division, and Demopolis City United playing in the Under 19 division. Jennings Company is coached by the owner Jeff Fendley, Dr. Keen’s Chiropractic Clinic is also coached by its owner Dr. Peter Keen, and finally Demopolis City United is coached by Patrick Ellis and Peter Niehoff.

This is the first tournament of the year for these three teams and the first for the club as a whole.
