Leona Davis Evan, age 78 of Greensboro, AL passed on Thursday, October 28, 2004 at DCH Regional Medical Center, Tuscaloosa, AL.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Greensboro, AL, with Brother Randolph Wiggins officiating.

Burial will follow in Sarah Christian Cemetery, Greensboro, AL.

The body will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., until time of service.

Washington&Paige Mortuary is in charge of all arrangements.

Virginia O’Delle Perkins Williams

Virginia O’Delle Perkins Williams of Selma, formerly of Marion, AL died on November 3, 2004 in Selma, AL.

Services will be held on Friday, November 5, 2004 at 11:30 a.m. at Marion United Methodist Church, with Dr. Asa Boozer and Dr. Larry Teasley officiating.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Marion United Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Rev. Norman C. Williams of Selma, AL, one daughter, Wendy Franklin of Marietta, GA, one brother, Wayne Perkins of Marion, AL, one sister Richardine Shackleford of Millbrook, AL, four grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and two great-great-great grandchildren.

Kirk Funeral homes is in charge of all arrangements.

Julia C. Dunson

Julia C. Dunson, age 93 passed on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at the Moundville Nursing Home.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood AME Zion Church, Akron, AL.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 5, 2004 from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 p.m.

The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to service.

Ms. LaKeisha Taylor

Sawyerville

Ms. LaKeisha Taylor of Sawyerville, AL passed on Saturday, October 30, 2004 in Sawyerville.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6, 2004 at 12:00 Noon at New Hope Baptist Church in Sawyerville, AL, with the Rev. Robert Williams, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Matilda Gardens Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time to service.

Kenneth David Crocker

Gallion

Graveside services for Kenneth David Crocker, age 57 of Gallion, AL will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 6, 2004 at Pine Flat Cemetery, Selma, AL with Rev. Kenneth Sanders officiating.

Burial will follow.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 5, 2004 at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Crocker died Thursday, November 4, 2004 at his residence.

Survivors include his wife, Vicki Darlene Crocker of Gallion, AL, two daughters, Dena Michelle Sims of Cordova, AL, and Terri Darlene Bromberger of Gallion, AL, two sons, Denson Leon Crocker and Christopher Robert (Brittany) Crocker, both of Gallion, AL., two sisters, Martha (Robert) Lavert of Georgia and Mary Frances Simmons of Mobile, AL, twelve grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Leon Crocker and Myrtle Smith Crocker, and brothers, Robert L. Crocker and Jimmy Crocker.

Mr. Crocker was a member of Pineview Assembly of God in Greensboro.

He was a retired carpenter and painter.
