DMS Basketball Updates

The DMS girls’ basketball team defeated Martin Middle on Wednesday night 47-12, improving their record to 7-0.
Leading the way for the girls was Shay Smith with 17 points.
Loreal Moore chipped in with nine points.
The girls started the game with a quick 12-0 run.
Martin Middle called a timeout to try and stop the run, but it worked to no avail.
After the timeout, DMS went on another 15-0 run to end the first quarter up 27-0.
Head coach Keesha Jamison thought it was a total team effort.
Out of the 12 players on the team, only five did not get in the scoring column.
Meanwhile, the DMS boys’ basketball team lost to Martin Middle 48-34 to drop their season record to 1-3.
Leading the way for the boys was Brian Taylor with 11 points and Frederick Irby with 10 points.
On Thursday night, the DMS girls’ and boys’ teams were in action again against Thomasville.
The girls’ team defeated Thomasville 43-33 to remain undefeated on the season and improve their record to 8-0.
Leading the way for the girls was Moore with 21 points and Aleshia Arnold with 11 points.
The girls’ next game will be on Wednesday, December 8.
Game time will be directly after the boys because it will be an in-school game.
Meanwhile, the DMS boys’ team fell 63-29 to Thomasville to drop to 1-4 on the season.
Leading the way for DMS was Frederick Irby with 16 points.
The boys’ next game is on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m.
