Demopolis Police Reports

The following arrests were made by the Demopolis Police Department:

Rhonda Garrison, 29, was arrested Dec. 30 and charged with barking and howling dogs.

Joe Edward Harris, 46, was arrested Dec. 31 and charged with contempt of court.

William Larry Cox, 32, was arrested Jan. 4 and charged with third-degree theft, shoplifting.

Tyesha Kelly Davis, 23, was arrested Jan. 4 and charged with negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument.

Charles Lamont Thomas, 27, was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with third-degree domestic violence.

Willie Earl James, 38, was arrested Jan. 6 and charged with third-degree domestic violence.

Troy Lee Barnes, 50, was arrested Jan. 7 and charged with third-degree theft, shoplifting.

Laketta H. Mackins, 26, was arrested Jan. 7 and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Frankie B. Mackins, 32, was arrested Jan. 7 and charged with two counts of unlawful distribution of a controlled substance.

Dan Baldwin, 51, was arrested Jan. 7 and charged with contempt of court.

William Larry Cox, 32, was arrested Jan. 8 and charged with third-degree theft, shoplifting.

Jack D. Garris, Jr., 46, was arrested Jan. 10 and charged with 11 counts of negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument and failure to appear.

Tony Curtis Hollis, 39, was arrested Jan. 10 and charged with negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument.

Michael Eldridge, 25, was arrested Jan. 11 and charged with contempt of court.

The following incident/offense reports were recorded:

December 28

Third-degree larceny was reported at Crossgates Apartments of clothing.

December 30

A report was made of missing pets on County Road 19.

December 31

Third-degree criminal mischief was reported on North Chestnut Street of two windows.

January 3

Third-degree assault was reported on West Perry Street.

Cruelty to animals was reported in Norris Trailer Park.

January 4

A report of third-degree theft, shoplifting was made at Food World.

January 5

Aggravated assault was reported on Perry Street.

Harassment was reported on Maria Avenue.

Third-degree domestic violence was reported on North Strawberry Street.

January 6

First-degree theft was reported in the old Wal-Mart parking lot of a 2001 Chevy Malibu.

Third-degree theft was reported at Food World with these items taken: purse, check book, cell phone, wallet, set of keys, credit card and an All Kids insurance card.

Third-degree criminal mischief was reported on Old Springhill Road with damage to a driver side window and door.

Harassment was reported in Diamond Oil parking lot.

First-degree sexual abuse was reported on Highway 43 and BP Station.

Third-degree domestic violence was reported on A Street.

January 7

Third-degree theft, shoplifting was reported on Highway 80 East of candy bars.

Menacing was reported on Sparks Road.

Third-degree assault was reported on Rainbow Circle.

January 8

A gas drive off was reported at Diamond Oil.

Third-degree theft, shoplifting was reported at Dollar General of 23 scented oil refills.

Third-degree criminal mischief was reported on North Commissioner Street with damage to a glass window.

January 9

Second-degree theft and menacing was reported on First Avenue of a .38 revolver.

Third-degree domestic violence was reported on Second Avenue.

Harassment was reported on East Lyon Street.

January 10

Possession of marijuana was reported on Hilltop Circle.

Theft of vehicle parts, a spare tire, was reported at Auto Beauty Shop.

Third-degree theft, shoplifting, of a case of beer was reported at the BP Station.

Third-degree assault was reported on Hilltop Circle.

Third-degree criminal mischief was reported of a paper towel holder at the Demopolis Park restroom.

The following arrests were made by the Linden Police Department:

Samantha Tate, 32, was arrested Jan. 4 and charged with negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument. Officer Bright made the arrest.

A 16-year-old juvenile from Dixon Mills was arrested Jan. 4 at Linden High School and charged with disorderly conduct. Officer Huckabee made the arrest.

Melvin E. McCall, 47, of Gallion was arrested Jan. 8 and charged with D.U.I. Officer Watters made the arrest.

Mitchell A. Wright, 26, of Linden was arrested Jan. 9 and charged with D.U.I. Officer Roberts made the arrest.

Tremain R. Fountain, 31, of Linden was arrested Jan. 9 and charged with disorderly conduct. Officer Roberts made the arrest.

Robert Ward, 48, of Linden was arrested Jan. 9 and charged with failure to follow court order. Officer Roberts made the arrest.

The following incident/offense reports were recorded:

Amanda H. Jenkins of Linden reported on Jan. 4 that someone had damaged her property.

Officer Bright took the report.

Rosalyn Smith reported on Jan. 4 that someone had damaged a column near her driveway. Officer Bright took the report.
