DHS soccer team works overtime in 2-1 win

TUSCALOOSA – The Demopolis Lady Tigers soccer team defeated Holy Spirit last night, 2-1, in double overtime.
In the first half, Megan Keen assisted Abby Coplin for the Lady Tigers first goal.
In the second half, Holy Spirit came back to deadlock the game at 1-1 before beginning the first five minute overtime.
After both teams went through the first overtime without scoring, the second overtime began.
And Alyse Wommack assisted Abby Coplin for the game-winning goal to give DHS a 2-1 victory in double overtime.
“That win is great for us,” head coach Peter Keen said.
“It’s the first win we’ve had on their [Holy Spirit’s] field.”
The DHS Lady Tigers soccer team returns to action on Tuesday, March 15, in a home game against Pratville.
Kick-off for the game is scheduled for 5:00 p.m.
