West Alabama Prep picks up second victory in a row

DEMOPOLIS – The West Alabama Prep Titans have finally hit a win streak.
Yesterday afternoon at the SportsPlex, WAP defeated Marion Military Institute 11-0 in five innings.
Cody Key picked up the victory for the Titans, pitching a complete game and striking out 10 batters.
Leading the way offensively for WAP was Wesley Ballard, who went 3-for-3, Rob Rorie, who went 2-for-2, Jordan Reffett, who went 2-for-2, and Key, who went 3-for-3.
With the win, the Titans are now 3-15 overall.
WAP returns to the field today at Meadowview for a double-header.
The first pitch for the Meadowview game is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Lady Titans pick up forfeit win
DEMOPOLIS – The WAP Lady Titans softball team picked up a forfeit win yesterday afternoon after the MMI softball team failed to arrive with a full squad due to illness.
The Lady Titans return to action this afternoon against Meadowview in Selma.
The first-pitch for the game is scheduled for 1 p.m. in a double-header.
