Mexican grocer opens in Demopolis

If you are a shopper in Demopolis looking for something a little different look no further than Cedar Street. A little taste of Mexico has made its way to the River City.
La Favorita Western Wear Y Tienda Mexicana, a Mexican grocery store, opened its doors at the beginning of April and
Has generated a lot of curiosity from local shoppers.
Storeowner Maria Camacho said the response has been good so far.
“People have been coming in,” Camacho said. “We opened about two weeks ago and people have come in.”
Camacho has been in Demopolis fro about four years and felt the timing was right to open a unique place for people in the area to shop. The store has a little bit of everything from hats to drinks. Camacho said they tried to keep a wide variety of items on tap.
“We have sauces tortillas and drinks and a lot of other items,” Camacho said. We just have a little bit of all things Mexican.”
The new store has a wide selection and brings something different to Demopolis. La Favorita is open daily. They are located on Cedar Street next door to Dresscodes 36732 clothing and Accessories.
