Johnson said racing events would also be on tap to go with the show events.

“There will also be events for rocking and rocking padded events,” Johnson said. “There should also be running events like barrel racing, poles and other running races.”

Some big names may also make their way to Lion’s Park Arena for the show. Johnson said past champions of local events and worldwide competition may participate in the show.

“Some of the horses in the events will be previous state champs,” Johnson said. “There is also the possibility of some world champions in the barrel racing events being there. We just look forward to a fun event for the kids and everyone else.”

The riding Club asks that participants use the proper tack and attire required for riders. Negative Coggins will be required.

Non-riding events are also planned for children who attend the event. A balloon-popping contest will be scheduled as well as a cakewalk. Tickets for the cakewalk will be sold at the event.

Admission for the event will be $2. Children five and under will be admitted free. A $5 entry fee will be required. The concession stand will be open for the event.
