Four student volunteers for Asera Care Hospice of Demopolis spent over 80 hours of their summer vacations working with the terminally ill.

Katie Cleveland, Rachel Walker, Amber Walker and Hannah Luckie are part of Asera Care Hospice’s volunteer program, Direct Volunteers.

The program is currently comprised of men and women ages 13 to 60, providing aid to Asera Care Hospice patients at their homes and at area nursing homes.

To volunteer, Cleveland, Walker, Walker and Luckie received special training and met Asera Care Hospice’s criteria for working with its patients. All Direct Volunteers are required to meet these standards.

The four young women provided their time and talents to brighten the lives of those in need. Cleveland, Walker, Walker and Luckie are students at Demopolis High School.

Asera Care Hospice is always looking for volunteers to add to its program. If you are interested in volunteering your time and service, contact Sara Lindsey, volunteer coordinator for Asera Care Hospice, at (800) 528-9253 or (334) 289-1585.
