SWEETWATER/NEWBERN- According to Nancy Wall, press representative for Senator Jeff Sessions, the Alabama senator will be “just traveling the state” this week.
This morning, Sessions stopped in Camden to present grants for three projects for the local USDA office.
At 1:30 p.m. he will visit Sweet Water High School, 440 Main Street in Sweet Water, to address the faculty about the reading achievement scores.
“He will visit the school to recognize their achievements,” Wall said.
After his Sweet Water visit, Sessions will stop by the Rural Studios in Newbern to see the students’ progress on the reconstruction.
Sessions will leave the Black Belt and travel to Birmingham and Pike County, among other locations, on Thursday.
Sessions will make appearances at town hall meetings across the state throughout the week.
According to Wall, the senator will also tour the hurricane damage in Tuscumbia.
