HALE COUNTY – Audrey Marlena Cooper, 18 of Greensboro, was killed on impact after her 1997 Dodge Neon collided head on with a 2004 Mack 18 wheeler Tuesday.

According to Selma State Troopers, Cooper was driving North on Alabama Highway 69, 1.1 miles south of Moundville, at 2:30 a.m. when her vehicle crossed the center line into the path of the truck driven by Louis Brazeal of Reform.

Troopers said Cooper was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident, but it is unknown whether alcohol was involved.

The accident is still under investigation, troopers said.
