YORK-The Marengo Academy Longhorns varsity boys recorded their second hoops win in less than a week as they defeated the Sumter Academy. Eagles 53-49 Monday night in York.

Senior Trey Rowell led the Longhorns with 20 points, followed by Jacob Harris with 13, Josh Dunn with 6, Thomas Fultz with 4, Kyle Stephens with 4, Chris Whitaker with 4, and Matthew Martin with 4.

For the Eagles, sophomore Joseph Reed led the way with a game-high 21. He was joined on the scoresheet by Stevie Ray with 11, Matt Bouler with 6, Drew Stuart with 4, Brandon Briggs with 4, Chris Robinson with 2, and Hunter Spidle with 1 point.
