Warrior’s JaMichael Rivers scored the game’s first six points on his way to game-high 22 as the Braves sprinted out to a 28-2 first-quarter lead and never looked back. Rivers finished the first quarter with eight, Trenedy Bolden had 11, and the Warrior defense limited the visiting Titans to one Gene Samuels bucket over the first eight minutes.

The lead eventually grew to 36 before Titan buckets by Mark Geiger and Kyle Kennedy to close the half sent the teams to the locker room with the score 40-8. All five Warrior starters–Rivers, Bolden, Robbie Gray, Ferris Williams, and Jamey Donaldson–had reached the scorebook by halftime.

To their credit, the Titans came out sharper in the third quarter and outscored the Braves 18-14 in the period. Kennedy finished the quarter with 13 of the Titans’ points on his way to 17 for the game.

But it wasn’t enough as Warrior finished off the 32-point victory. Four Braves–Rivers with 22, Bolden with 16, Gray with 15, and Williams with 11–finished in double figures. Donaldson’s 2 and Tyrik Carter’s 2 rounded out the Warrior scoring.

Kennedy’s 17 led the Titans while Daniel Logan scored 6, Jake Rich 5, Steven Cocreham 2, Geiger 2, Clay Meyer 2, and Samuels 2.

The win moved Warrior to 3-0 on the young season while WAP dropped to 2-3.

Keshara Moore and Tricia Langham scored 20 points apiece as the Lady Braves took an 18-point first-quarter lead and extended their season-opening winning streak to three games.
