Before long, Linden Police Chief Jeff Laduron said, information began to roll in. Laduron said things began to come together quickly.

“We were able to make the arrests by Dec. 26, so things went well,” Laduron said. “We started receiving information, Officer Watters received more information and we recovered the fireworks by Marengo Butane. The next day, we got the names and were able to make the arrests.”

When Laduron and Watters made the arrests, they apprehended two 15 -year-old juveniles, both from Linden.

“We took the two juveniles in and they were taken to the juvenile detention facility,” Laduron said. “Now they will go through the juvenile court system.”

Both were charged with burglary.

Laduron said the fireworks stand has been a popular target for burglaries and he hopes the arrests will deter future incidents.
