January 19 – February 17

Richard Sellers, Jr., 36, of York, was booked into the Sumter County Jail on 02-13-06 to begin serving two sentences with the State of Alabama Department of Corrections. Sellers had fought a charge of Trafficking in Marijuana and was found guilty by a jury. Sellers then appealed his conviction twice and finally exhausted his appeals process. Sellers also pled guilty to Receiving Stolen Property – First Degree. Sellers will be transferred to a state penitentiary as soon as space is available.

Lonzy Lee “Big Stuff” Hubbard, 35, of 171 Rogers Drive, Livingston, was arrested by an Alabama State Trooper on 02-13-06 on charges of Unlawful Possession of Marijuana – First Degree and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Cocaine after a routine traffic stop reportedly revealed a “large amount” of the substances in his vehicle. The exact weight of the drugs will be determined by the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences. Hubbard was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

Janell Washington, 25, of 106 West 5th Avenue, York, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-17-06 on a warrant for Negotiating a Worthless Negotiable Instrument. Washington was released on bond.

Carl Everette Burrell, 43, of #15 Lake Village Apartments, Livingston, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-19-06 on a warrant for Probation Violation. Burrell was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

Robert Yates, Jr., 21, of 401 West 4th Avenue, York, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-20-06 on a warrant for Negotiating a Worthless Negotiable Instrument. Yates was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

James Ford, 30, of 6-B Sumter Apartments, York, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-23-06 on a warrant for Failure to Pay Child Support. Ford was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

Robert Curtis Amerson, 42, of 24015 Highway 17, Emelle, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-26-06 on two warrants for Negotiating a Worthless Negotiable Instrument. Amerson was released on bond.

Leigh Ann Price, 30, of 302 Alabama Street, Pickensville, AL, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-26-06 on a warrant for Assault – Third Degree. Price was released on bond.

Tameka Thomas, 20, of 810 West Park Circle, Pickensville, AL, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-26-06 on a warrant for Assault – Third Degree. Thomas was released on bond.

Crystal Davis, 25, of 407 9th Street, Aliceville, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-26-06 on a warrant for Assault – Third Degree. Davis was released on bond.

Klen Dale Evans, 47, of P.O. Box 315, York, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s office on 01-29-06 on a warrant for Sexual Abuse – First Degree. Evans was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

Oscar Clark, 24, of Tartt-Miller Lane, Epes, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-31-06 on a warrant for Negotiating a Worthless Negotiable Instrument. Clark was released on bond.

Reaymundo “Mo” Nelson, 32, of Hudson Street, Bellamy, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 01-31-06 on warrants for Domestic Violence (Menacing) – Third Degree, Domestic Violence (Assault) – Third Degree, and Failure to Appear in Court for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Nelson was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

Siera Freeman, 19, of Wendy Hills Apartment 16-C, Gainesville, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 02-07-06 on a warrant for Menacing. Freeman was released on bond.

Diondus Burton, 23, of 209 BBBL Road, Townsend Mission, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 02-08-06 on a warrant for Assault – Third Degree. Burton was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

Theresa Ivory Maye, 34, of 308 Willow Street, Livingston, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office 02-08-06 on a warrant for Probation Violation. Maye was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

David Burrell, 19, of 5625 Dan Mitchell Road, Emelle, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 02-12-06 on a charge of Receiving Stolen Property – Second Degree. Burrell was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

Doris Lake, 36, of 701 Oswalt Avenue, York, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 02-14-06 on a warrant for Failure To Pay Child Support. Lake was placed in the Sumter County Jail.

Kelvin Dewayne Jones, 32, of 2300 Crabtree Road, Lot 76, Tuscaloosa, was arrested by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office on 02-15-06 on a warrant for Probation Violation. Jones was placed in the Sumter County Jail.
