DMS falls to Choctaw

It certainly wasn’t the home finale the Demopolis Middle School baseball team had hoped for.
In their final homestand, the DMS Tigers dropped a pair to Choctaw County, including a 11-0 shelling in game one, which only lasted four innings. In the second game, head coach Brian Bradley put in his younger players to get them some experience, and they lost to Choctaw 3-1.
“The young guys did pretty well,” Bradley said. “I tell them, everytime you go out there I want three things: learn something about baseball, learn something about yourselves, and have fun.”
Bradley praised the hitting of Matt Sellers, the pitching of Hunter Wells, and the defensive play of Ben McCarter and Holman.
The losses dropped DMS to 7-7 on the season. Tonight they play their final games of the season, a doubleheader against the Raiders in Greensboro starting at 4:30 p.m.
In two games in Demopolis earlier in the season, the Tigers won both.
