Bettye K. Williams, age of 51 of Linden, died June 3, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 10 at Hopewell Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Gerome Burrell officiated. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed arrangements. Survivors include a loving mother, Mary Hawkins of Linden; step-father, Joe Lewis of Linden; siblings, Lula Henderson of Linden, Annie Robinson of Detroit, Mich., Dorothy Williams of Chicago, Mary Ann Gracie of Eutaw, Charlie Williams of Linden, George Williams of Atlanta, Ga., Richard Williams of Chicago, Sylvester Williams of Chicago, George Cook of Atlanta, Esau Tate of Linden, Eric Tate of Linden; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Lillie Mae McKnight Cunningham
Lillie Mae McKnight Cunningham, age 72 of Demopolis, died June 6, 2006 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services were held Sunday, June 11 at Bethel Pine Baptist Church in Coatopa. The Rev. Floyd Bell officiated. Interment followed in Old Bethel Cemetery in Coatopa. Larkin & Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directed the arrangements. Lillie Mae received her nursing degree from C.A. Fredd School Of Nursing and worked in the surgery department at Bryan Whitfield Hospital. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Jerry Cunningham of Demopolis; five sisters, Gussie McKnight, Hattie (Wilbur) of Coatopa, Alice Harris, Ann Harris and Diane Harris of Detroit, Mich.; two aunts, Julia Killings of Coatopa, and Carrie Johnican of Mariana, Ark.; two uncles, Fellie McKnight and Andrew Armstrong, of Coatopa; two brothers-in-law, Henry (Daisy) Cunningham of Brighton, and Eugene (Alice) Cunningham of Chicago; four sisters-in-law, Paralee Allen of Demopolis, Susie Green, Mary Lee Gilbert, Chicago, and Mary Cunningham, Waukegan, Ill.; a very devoted niece, Naomi Freeman of Des Plaines, Ill.; godchildren, Wanda (Glenn) Motley and Taylor Sanders of Demopolis; a devoted friend, Annie L. McKnight, and a host of other nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
Nonah L. Williams
Nonah L. Williams, age 78 of Demopolis, died June 10, 2006 at her residence. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 17 at 1 p.m. at the New Morning Star Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Willie Williams will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis. The remains will repose at the church on Saturday beginning at noon. Public viewing will be held Friday from 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Larkin&Scott Funeral Directors of Demopolis directing arrangements.
