Accidental shooting mars weekend

Although there weren’t any shots fired in the incident that led to police being called to an Highway 43 South location, one person was injured after being shot on South Glover Street.
Police reports from Saturday, June 3, describe disorderly conduct involving
a fight in a public place occurred and that
firearms were involved.
According to police, no shots were fired and the charge stemmed from one of the suspects taken into custody having possession of a gun.
However, a June 17 incident did lead to one injured party.
The accidental shooting occurred on Glover Street when the victim was attempting to show the correct way to load a gun, police said, when the shot was mistakenly fired.
Details of the extent of the victim’s injuries were not available at time of press.
