The 13 year old All-Stars that comprise the Alabama State Championship Team, our the children from West Alabama.
There are players from Demopolis, Linden and Greensboro on the team and they need everyone in their communities help with raising the money needed to go to the Regional Tournament in Williamsburg, VA.
They have some fundraisers planned including a bake sale in front of Papa’s in Linden on Saturday,
July 29 at 9 A.M.
They are also holding a Hit for Donations! event tonight at the Demopolis Sportsplex. There is also talk of them selling Krispy Kreme donuts out front of the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Demopolis on Monday.
There have been some fundraising calls made to businesses, and Robertson Bank was the first company in Demopolis to donate money to the cause.
With a little under six days left, it’s going to be a close call for the players to get this money raised.
Once again the players need to raise about $8,000-$10,000 to fund this trip to Williamsburg, VA.
They were the only team during the 13- year-old Alabama State Championship Tournament to go undefeated during gameplay. This team needs your help.
