The Demopolis Middle School Tigers are in the preparation stages for the up coming football season. Tryouts ended last Friday.
The DMS head coach Leroy Harris is due to announce his team today.
Over 100 hopefuls turned out for the tryouts.
“We’re want to determine who can play and who can’t,” said Harris, who has moved up to the head coaching position this season.
“We only have enough equipment for 75 players, but with this kind of showing we don’t want to turn any of the kids away.”
The Tiger football team will rely on fundraisers to help with the cost of acquiring more gear.
When the junior Tigers take the field this fall, Harris will run his spread offense through an 8-game schedule, including six home games.
