Hatch kept their offense going while holding Francis Marion to just six third quarter points. &8220;We couldn’t come up with the big plays when we needed it in the second and third quarter,&8221; said Michael Bedell, Lady Ram’s head coach.

The Lady Bobcats pulled away to a 32-26 lead at the end of the third quarter. Francis Marion came back to tie the score at 38 in the fourth quarter with a little more than three minutes left to play. The Lady Rams took advantage of Hatch turnovers and went up by five, 44-39 with 1:45 left to play.

Hatch freshman Eboni Smith took over and outscored Francis Marion 8-2. She sank two field goals, one of them a three-pointer, and three fouls shots to tie the game 46-46 with 31 seconds on the clock. Both coaches followed with a time out each, but the Lady Rams missed on a field goal opportunity. That set up the Walker three-point try when she was fouled with point three seconds left in the game.
