Harrison Carter Sr.

DEMOPOLIS &045; Harrison Carter Sr., 72 of Demopolis died on December 15, 2006.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Charlie Moore is the Pastor. The Rev. Nathaniel Carter officiated. The Rev. Mitchell Congress was the master of order.

Survivors include nine children, Hayward Carter of Albany, Ga., Harrison Carter of Lancaster, Penn., Eugene Carter of Demopolis, Shirley James of Demopolis, Jeffery Carter of Albany, Ga., Brenda Dawson of Demopolis, Derrick Carter of Demopolis, Zachary Carter of Birmingham and Lorraine McClain of Waukegan, Ill.; a devoted friend, Marguerite Fisher of Gallion; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Lois G. Chatman

CHICAGO &045; Lois G. Chatman, 84 of Chicago died on December 11, 2006 in Chicago. Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at the Mount Cannan Cemetery of Gallion. The Rev. John S. Watkins officiated.

Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include her husband, Mr. Willie Chatman Sr., of Chicago; two children, Patricia C. Hobbs and Willie Chatman Jr. of Chicago; two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Harriet Lawson George

DEMOPOLIS &045; Harriet Lawson George, 97 of Demopolis died on December 15, 2006 at Colonial Healthcare in Greensboro. Obsequies were held at 12 noon on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at the John The Baptist Church in Gallion. The Rev.

G. Burrell officiated. The Rev. Fred Moore was the master of order. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include two children, Andrew George III of Penacook, N.H. and Laura George Foster of Demopolis; three grandchildren; one great-grandaughter and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Helen McNealey

DEMOPOLIS &045; Helen McNealey, 73 of Demopolis, died on December 13, 2006 at D.C.H. Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 at the Greater New Hope Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Honoree Lockett is the pastor. The Rev. James Fountain officiated. Interment followed in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis, Alabama was in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include one daughter, Mary Helen McNealey; five sons, Willie, Robert, Johnnie, Hilry, and Bernard; twenty-seven grandchildren, thirty-five great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews she reared, Joe, Roosevelt, Jerome, Brenda and Fred; Goddaughters, Ora Jones and Cornelia Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends.

Delena Aldridge

CHICAGO &045; Delena Aldridge, 72 of Chicago formerly of Demopolis died on December 13, 2006 in Cicero, Ill.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at the First Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Jefferson. The Rev. Edmond Charleston officiated. Deacon Jesse Wheeler was the master of order. Interment followed in Scott Memorial Cemetery in Jefferson.

Survivors include her children, Rosetta Thurman, Viola Taylor, Queenie Nelson, Willie Nell Aldridge, Earnest Aldridge, all of Chicago; 13 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lucille Walker, Lula Jones, Leasie Whitfield and Mary Walker; one brother, Eugene Whitfield and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Aslean James

DEMOPOLIS &045; Aslean James, of Demopolis died on December 21, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Gallion. The Rev. Sid Rowser officiated.
