Southern Academy Cougar&8217;s Matt Bouler, a junior, is selected for Player of the Week.

Bouler, who&8217;s third in total points in the AISA, hit pay dirt twice in Southern Academy&8217;s 21-0 win over Wilcox Academy. The win propelled the Cougars to their third consecutive championship game, their first in AA.

Bouler actually scored four touchdowns in last Friday&8217;s game, but two were called back. &8220;My team counts on me to get in the end zone as much as I can,&8221; he said. &8220;I give a lot of credit to our linemen, because you&8217;re only as good as your linemen.&8221;

He also rushed for 108 yards and is fifth in AISA rushing. Matt&8217;s favorite subject is science. He hopes to attend Auburn University after high school.
