Trinity Episcopal hosts community service

DEMOPOLIS &045; As part of the Christmas on the River festivities a community-wide church service will be held at 6:30 p.m. tonight at Trinity Episcopal Church in Demopolis.
The service, which has been held on and off for years, is sponsored by the Demopolis Christian Ministerial Association, a group of local Christian pastors.
Raulerson said the service will also give an opportunity to welcome a new minister to the ministerial association.
Raulerson said Captain New is based out of Selma, but covers this area for the Salvation Army.
The program will also feature a performance by Encore, the acapella group of the Demopolis Singers, as part of the special music for the service.
Raulerson said the service will also feature Bible readings, the singing of hymns, prayer and &8220;lots of great music.&8221;
The location of the service is selected based on attendance each year.
Raulerson said everyone is invited to attend the service.
