Minnie Ella Day
Minnie Ella Day, age 94 died Sunday, October 8,
at Hale County Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 11, at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Chapel in Demopolis with Rev. Arthur Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Dunning Cemetery in Dixon Mills with Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors in charge of arrangements. The family recieve friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time.Mrs. Day’s husband, Homer Day preceded her in death.Survivors include her loving son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Reid and his wife, Cindy of Greensboro; two grandchildren, Wayne Reid and Matt Reid; a host of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Ralph Cochran, Mike Compton, Earl Drake, Joey Tucker, Matt Reid, Wayne Reid. Honorary pallbearers will be the Nurses and staff of Colonial Haven, the nurses and staff of Hale County Hospital. Mrs. Day was a member of Gallion Baptist Church.The Day Family will accept flowers or donations may be made tocharity of choice.
Donald Leon Hoggle
Donald Leon Hoggle, age 82, died October 7 at DCH Medical Center in Tuscaloosa. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on October 9 at the First Baptist Church of Demopolis with Dr. Denton Goodwin officiating. Interment will follow in Demopolis Memorial Gardens. Kidd-Robbins Funeral Directors are entrusted with arrangements. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to service. Mr. Hoggle was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Watson H. Hoggle. Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred Snipes Hoggle of Demopolis; two daughters, Lynn H. (Bob) Collins of Gallion and Kathy H. (Mike) Bares of Demopolis; two sisters, Josephine (J.D.) Avery of Tuscaloosa and Jennette Richardson of Moundville; two brothers, Ottis Hoggle of Linden and Troyce Hoggle of Northport; three grandchildren, John Clark Wilburn III, Dustin Michael and Christopher Matthew Barnes. Mr. Hoggle was a member of First Baptist Church of Demopolis, Founder and Active member on the Old Fellas Country and GospelBand, owner and operator of Hoggle&8217;s 66 Service Station and Small Engine Repairfor 32 years, and a Master Mason of the Demopolis Lodge #49. Pallbearers will be Henry Baxley, Don Buchanan, Ganus Thomas, J.D. West, Jim Sigler, Andy Morgan and Eddie Hoggle. Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Lloyd&8217;s Sunday School Class and Dr. Ketchum-Dismukes. The family of Mr. Hoggle will accept flowers or donations to the Old Fellas Band.
