Essie Lee Cochran

EUTAW &045; Essie Lee Cochran, 59 of Eutaw died Jan. 4, 2007 at home. Services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the New Bethany Primitive Baptist Church in Knoxville with the Rev. Raymond Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Saint Paul Cemetery with McInnis Mortuary in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is today from 1 until 6 p.m. at the mortuary and an hour prior to service time at the church.

EMELLE &045; Anell Hale, 88, of Emelle died Jan. 8, 2007 at Hill Hospital in York. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the Brown Chapel Baptist Church in Emelle with the Rev. Calvin Finch officiating.

Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cemetery with McInnis Mortuary of Livingston in charge of the arrangements. Visitation is today from 1 until 5 p.m. at the mortuary and an hour prior to service time at the church.

Aslean Williams James

DEMOPOLIS &045; Aslean Williams James, 79, of Demopolis died on December 21, 2006 at her residence. Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 28, 2006 at the Jerusalem Baptist Church in Gallion. The Rev. Sid Rowser officiated. The Rev. Mitchell Congress was the Master Of Order. Larkin&Scott Funeral directors of Demopolis were in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include three daughters, Betty Williams, Willie Perkins, both of Demopolis, Doris James of Faunsdale; two sons, Alphonso James and Lorenzo James of Demopolis; 12 grandchildren, 28 grandchildren, 3 step-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Abraham Kimbrough

LINDEN &045; Abraham Kimbrough, 68, of Linden died on January 5, 2007 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Hope Hill Baptist Church in Dayton.

The Rev. Johnny Jones will officiate. Interment will follow in Dayton Cemetery in Dayton.

GALLION &045; Annie Roland, 78, of Gallion died on January 6, 2007 at Woodhaven Manor Nursing Home in Demopolis. Memorial services will be held at a later date. The remains were cremated.

DEMOPOLIS &045; Marva Green-James, of Detroit, Mich., formerly of Forkland died on January 6, 2007 in Detroit, Mich.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Lloyd Chapel Baptist Church in Forkland.

DEMOPOLIS &045; Freddie Simmons, 65, of Demopolis died on January 7, 2007 at Bryan Whitfield Hospital in Demopolis. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at the Friendship Baptist Church in Demopolis.

The Rev. Henry Thompson is the pastor. The Rev. Mitchell R. Congress will officiate. Interment will follow in Mount Zion #1 Cemetery on Highway 80 West in Demopolis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at the Nazareth Of Galilee Baptist Church in Demopolis. The Rev. Jesse Bell will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Cemetery in Demopolis. Eloise Tucker Huckabee

DEMOPOLIS &045; Eloise Tucker Huckabee, 80, died on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2007 at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jessie Lough officiating. Interment will follow in Demopolis Memorial

The Huckabee Family will receive friends at Kidd-Robbins Funeral Chapel from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2006.

Huckabee was preceded in death by a daughter, Angel Huckabee.

Survivors include her husband, James D. Huckabee; a daughter, Penny H. Grantham; a son, Don Huckabee, all of Demopolis; three sisters, Ruby Ayami of Slidell, La., Myrtle T. Fields of Sweetwater and Nell Barkley of Hugo; two brothers, James Tucker of Linden and Charles Tucker of Sweetwater; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and a

host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Austin Grantham, Lucas Grantham, Andrew Grantham, David Huckabee, Phil Robison and Kevin Minor.

Oliver Wade Gandy Sr.

BELMONT &045; Oliver Wade Gandy Sr. died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2007 at Riley Medical Center in Meridian, Miss.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2007 at Belmont Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Jones officiating. Kidd-Robbins Funeral directors are in charge of the arrangements.

Survivors include his wife, Mable Allen Gandy of Belmont; two daughters, Rita Gandy Nettles of Demopolis and Dianne Maria Wideman of Raleigh, S.C.; three sons, Oliver Wade Gandy Jr. and Charles Dwayne Gandy and John C. Wideman all of Belmont; one brother, Earle Gandy of Belmont; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Henery Marchand, Rob Allen, Alan Gandy, Mark Sanford, Lee Dial and Matt Stephens. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Gandy, Bubba Gandy and Kevin Gandy.
