WAP wins fifth straight, 67-57

YORK &045; On a roll may be an under statement for the West Alabama Preparatory Titans five game win streak. The team has started to gel at the right time of the year. They won their second road game in a row beating the Sumter Academy Eagles, 67-57.

The Titans led by as much as 20 points and held a 37-20 advantage at half time. &8220;We were able to get off a lot of shots,&8221; Reynolds said.

Terrance Irby led the way for WAP with a game high 28 points. Kris Kimbrough added 17 points and Steven Cocreham chipped in 12.

James Spidle scored 21 points for Sumter Academy. Stevie Ray contributed 15 points.

Lady Titans upended by Sumter

The Lady Titans of West Alabama Preparatory falters against the Sumter Academy Lady Eagles, 46-21. Lana Stoker had 10 rebounds for the Lady Titans to go along with her four points. Callie Lecroy led the scoring with eight points. Lauren McDowell grabbed eight rebounds and four points. Madison Poellnitz pulled down seven boards and also scored four points.

Erin Osment led all scorers for Sumter Academy with 12 points. Danielle Partridge and Alley Rundles added eight points each. Emily Conway chipped in six points.
