Lady Tigers are ready

DEMOPOLIS &045; The running Lady Tigers of Demopolis High and the highflying Lady Raiders of Greensboro High will do battle tonight in Greensboro. The Lady Raiders will come into the game unbeaten in 16 games so far this season. Demopolis will come in posting a 12-2 record.

Demopolis is riding a modest five game win streak, which includes beating ninth ranked Wilcox Central, Greenville on the road, and Bibb County in its last game.

Demopolis will go back to the basics and work on rebounding and blocking out. They will also fine-tune its half court defense.

Meanwhile, the Lady Raiders, who will be coming off a game at Hale County last night, is expected to prepare for Demopolis during the game. &8220;WE will work on some things at our game with Hale County,&8221; said Frances Dunn, head coach of the No. 3 ranked Greensboro. &8220;We hope to take advantage of what their defense gives us.&8221;

The Greensboro, Hale County game is incomplete at press time.

Demopolis on the road to Greensboro

The Demopolis Tigers, who have won two of its last three games, both wins coming on the road, will face the Greensboro Raiders tonight.

Demopolis beat Bibb County, 51-44 in its last outing, and will try to continue its recent road success in Greensboro.

The Raiders, who beat a tough R.C. Hatch team in over time this past Tuesday will look to make their run to and through the playoffs.
